The ref (even though english), couldnt of done any different. Netherlands were lucky to have more than 9 men on the field... van bommel could have been sent off, Nigel de Jong should of been sent off. Also, you did recieve a red card.
Even G called the players "kids" as their gamesmanship, and inability to allow to game to flow spoilt it to some degree.
Netherlands had their chances and blew it - spain had a couple and capitilized.
I wanted Netherlands to win, but all in all... didnt deserve it.
It was a hard game no doubt and de jong should have been sent off !! But holland played a better game the second half and Robben missed 2 chances .The ref was an idiot FACT !!! infact most of the refs this year were shite . Anneke congrats to spain m8 but i'll stick with my own thoughts about the game and no hard feelings hun .
Lol noreen dn't worry, im not getting upset....but in a normal circumstances, de jong red card, van bommel red card....there was 1 clear fact in that game: Spain tried to play football, Holland tried to interrupt football....
At the end of the day I am happy the best team won, but I was/am/will be always dissapointed in the dutch tactics that night....that should never represent the style of football that holland is been practicing for years (Total Football)...that's for me the biggest dissapointment.
